Time flies when you're having fun
I've been reading blogs for a long time. The first I ever read was Carmen SinCity, The Poker Girl in Vegas. I found it by googling "poker" and "girls". I wanted to read about poker from a woman's perspective. From Carmen's blog I found Miami Don, Hurricane Mikey and Linda Lou (not a poker blog, but a treasure nonetheless) as wel as many others, but those were my favorites. A couple years later Carmen, whose blog I still love, was less and less about poker so I moved onto Waffles, Mookie, WillWonka, etc.
I was totally hooked.
I even tried to start my own blog. If you look at my history on the right you'll see my lame attempts. One entry in 2007, one in 2008 and one in 2009, each time I'd promised myself I'd stick with it. Heh - keep that in mind when I promise you something. :) Then Hurricane Mikey asked me if I'd like to be a guest blogger on his post. *grin* Does a cat have an ass? Of course I wanted to. I wrote about a win in a live tournament and because he had TONS of readers, I got lots of comments, which were complimentary! Some guy asked me to write again! Hmmmm
So I started again.
I wrote a few other pokery posts and then.......I got a comment from some college kid I didn't know! And then another from some guy called DB Cooper. I was liking this. I sent an email to Waffles asking him to play in my private tourney, which he declined (bastard) but he did give me a little link love. From that I started getting comments from the now MIA Riggs, Wolfie, Lightning, Bayne, Dr. C, Shrike, and a few guys saying they were vice presidents who worked in NY. :)
And I see that I've completed a full year. A year filled with tons of posts and tons of comments. But so much more than the posts, so much more than the comments is the fact that I found friends.
Do I have real life friends? Sure, but whether you guys know it or not I feel just as close to you. Perhaps that's because I interact with you more than real life friends or maybe it's because you tell it like it is. Surely there's no sugar coating from any of you, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm so thankful for each and every one of you, moreso than words can express. Thank you for being there even when I'm bitchy or sad or whatevah. Like you, I don't hold much back.
Happy anniversary to me and to you too.

Congrats on a 'full' year Jos.
Mojo - Darn it all - you were there commenting a year ago too - from the very beginning and I left your name off my post. I'm sorry baby! I was blogging in a hurry in work, so no Mojo in the post, but you're there in my heart. xoxo
