Poker God

I can't remember when a man has made me this happy.  What a minute, did I say MAN?  I meant Poker God!  I'm talking about SmBoatDrinks himself!

Boat played a heads up match against BrainMc for his life and he won.  It was an epic match too that lasted about an hour.  An hour of shocking twists.  I swear they took 10 years off my life.  Both were short stacked and came back more than once.  Both got lucky and both got in good. 

I think SmBoatDrinks illustrated the difference between a goot player and a great one when he was shortstacked.  He had J-7 and the flop was J-4-5 or something like that, with brain holding the 3-6 for an oesd. Betting and a calling, then there's a 7 on the river, which gives brain a straight and boat top 2 pair.  If i were him in that situation, being shortstacked and all, I think I would've jammed to Brain's bet.  Instead boat calls, loses, and is down to 300 chips, but STILL IN THE GAME.  Amazing.  Then fought back to even, and up and down enough times to give me heartburn, and finally the win.

Guess what Boat and I are doing tomorrow night?

Come play with me, if only to aggravate me.  It's a mixed game and that means I'll be easy pickings.  It starts limit holdem, then omaha, stud, blah, blah and then BADUGI!!!  Last week I didn't last long enough to play badugi.  Here's hoping I make it this week.  I really want to give badugi a try.

BTW I may be a little late for The Booze Cruise, but I'm signing up so please no stealing my blinds till I get home.  I'm doing a focus group with my sista that ends at 8:00pm, but it's kinda far away.  I think I should be home just in time.

The focus group is on oldies music.  (no comments please) You had to be between 42 - 49 years old to qualify. :) I believe I have to listen to music and tell them which songs I like.  I can do that!

BrianMc, I tip my cap to you.  You played a great game of Survivor and a great game of poker.  I thought you were going to pull off my worst nightmare...taking my boy Boaty out.  GG on that front and the way you played Heads Up against Boat.  I know I wouldn't want to play HU against you.  :)  Well, I kinda do, now.  :) I'm just glad I didn't have to play  you for my survivor life.
