Hi! I've got nothing to say but that's never stopped me from posting before!
I worked out again last night, walk, bike, abs. I timed the bike and it was 18.5 minutes but I was going much faster than before. I was pleased in the end because I felt like I got a good work out. Also I did the stretches that Fboy kindly sent me links to. Thank you FBoy!
Oh and ate very healthily yesterday....while I was munching on my green salad for lunch Waffles said he was having a salad too....with bacon, and gorgonzola and carmelized onions and roasted peppers. That shouldn't be called a salad!!!
I had a plate of veggies and a small turkey burger for dinner. Afterwards a handful of raisins as a snack and that's it! So good workout and good eating - for yesterday.
3 days down 97 to go. (in 97 days I'm going to be so hot I may never wear clothes) I'm actually getting into this now too. Who knew?
Have a great weekend my dears. You may be hearing from me over the weekend.
Play smart.

Okay -- so I will readily admit that I am a cheap guy. I did not come from
a wealthy family and had some really tight times financially when I went

lol ty waffles baby....i think. you are sweet.
ty fboy but no nekkid pics....prolly.
Josie - lose the boring ass salads.....eat chicken and things high in protein that keep you full longer. Lettuce does nothing and you will be so hungry after a few hours that your body will see it as "getting no food" and will stop burning calories in order to protect itself.
Also, dont go carb-less, it is torture and there is no reason for it. Just limit your bread intake and eat whole wheat and whole grain bread....check the calories per slice and you are all set to find a bread you like.
i accept email pix so gl i guess XD

As a wit once said, "If it isn't meat, it counts as salad."
An American study group did an investigation into why the French could eat two four-course meals a day of food rich in things like butter and cream, always eaten with wine served, but did not seem to get fat on it. They discovered the answer was small portions.
Most salad is about 99% water. Keep half-an-eye on avoiding particularly bad foods, but do not go drastic, just eat a bit less of stuff. After all, it is not just about 100 days to lose the weight, but after that not to go back to old habits and put it on again.
If you can lose two or three pounds a week, then that is about thirty-six pounds in one-hundred days. That sounds quite a lot.
Only weigh yourself once a week, and remember dieting always has a weird delayed effect of about ten days to a fortnight, so see how you do over a month; do not let lack of early progress discourage you. Besides, weight can vary by a pound or two day-to-day anyway (more so for women?).
If you still feel hungry after eating, wait twenty minutes or so. I sometimes have a couple of poached eggs on toast, and afterwards feel hungry enough to eat the same again, but it takes a while for it to hit the blood sugar, so half-an-hour later I do not feel hungry. (It might be an idea to avoid eating while watching TV or doing anything else, as it seems like you have not really eaten if distracted by something else. The French savour their food, discuss it, concentrate on it, although that culture is changing.)
The problem with intensive dieting is when it is done, people indulge themselves again, and the weight goes back on, and the motivation to go through all that again is diminished, so they often put back on more weight than they lost. Play the long game. Eat most of what you enjoy, but in smaller portions. Once the more intensive diet is over, set a level a few pounds higher, that when you hit you go on a mini-diet. I mostly eat what I want, but surprise people if sometimes I mention I am on a diet, but I always reply, "It is better to go on a diet when you are a few pounds overweight, not a few stone." I usually make an effort for ten days or a fortnight to cut back, get fed up and give up, then the weight of three or four pounds comes off the week after! But do think of the long game. Do not rush too much to get it off, and do not let it creep up again.
(Not sure about exercise. It always makes me starving hungry, but my sister eats anything she likes and goes to the gym enough to get rid of it. The doctor is always telling her she is technically over-weight for her height, but he can not see where the problem is, as she just isn't fat. I think it is because muscle weighs more than fat, and she has a fairly wide frame.)
Wow Seb, thank you so much. First of all, I hadn't really thought the 100 days out as far as losing that much weight. (!) I was more thinking of being healthy for 100 days. Jesus 36 lbs! Hmmmmmm
Second of all, there are some really good ideas here. No eating while watching TV would solve a lot! (have you been spying on me?) I will attempt to incorporate this starting NOW.
Smaller portions and savour it. I like it.
Third of all, what's a fortnight? :)
remember for any bigger meals to drink a bottle of water about 30-40 minutes before the meal too.
Drink the whole damned bottle, don't skimp, I'm watching.
This will help you feel more full and eat less :)
A fortnight is two weeks.
